Aeolothrips setosus Masumoto & Okajima, 2019
This species is observed mainly on the leaves of a fern species, Arachniodes standishii, from late March to early May, and is also rarely collected from the flowers of other plants such as cherry blossoms. It probably preys on small arthropods such as Collembola but its biology is uncertain until now. It has been recorded only from the plains of Kanagawa Prefecture in Honshu so far, but probably it is widespread in lowlands of the warm temperate region of Japan.
